Join us for a 4 day Countertechnique® Spring Immersion at Groudworks.Space in the Hudson Valley!
This will be our 3rd time running this event and our second year in a row! We are having so much fun teaching and sharing in this context, and we can't wait to dance together in 2026!
Your teachers are Maggie Costales and Maya LaLiberte—seasoned dance professionals and Countertechnique® instructors.
Your host/chef is Maddie Leonard-Rose, a producer at Groundworks.Space.
What is Countertechnique®?
The Countertechnique® class is a contemporary dance technique class. It stretches, coordinates and strengthens the body, making the dancer sweat, build stamina and really move. The class starts with a recurring set of exercises, allowing dancers to investigate the Countertechnique® principles in detail. The second half of the class consists of changing components, working towards luscious movement combinations and jumping at the end.

Work Trade Option
This is our subsidized ticket, for dancers who are willing to lend us a hand in the kitchen in exchange for paying half-tuition. Your help in loading the dishwasher after meals, putting away leftovers and hand washing some of the larger pots & pans is much appreciated!
